Haunts Halloween is a small independent magazine. We collect as little as we can, and we never sell what we collect.
What we collect
- Visitor statistics. Anonymous counts of page views, devices and how visitors found the site. These are not tied to your name or email.
- Encounter submissions and contact messages. The name, email address and story you send us. Your email is kept private and is never shown on the site.
- Comments and ratings in the Readers' Room. What you post, held for review before it appears publicly.
- Accounts. If you sign in, your email address and sign-in details, used only to keep you signed in.
- Game saves. Scores, stars, checkpoints and keepsakes are stored in your own browser, not on our servers. Clearing your browser data removes them.
How we use it
To reply to you, to review and publish encounters you asked us to publish, to send confirmation emails about your submissions, and to understand which pages readers enjoy. We do not show advertising based on your activity.
Sharing
Information is stored with the hosting and email services that run the site. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete anything you sent us, including a published encounter, by writing to ajstehlingco@gmail.com.
Children
The site is meant for a general audience. Please do not send us personal information about a child.
Changes
